Policies and Requirements

Fee Policy

All fees are due at the time of pick up of your pet. Cash, checks, VISA, MasterCard, or Discover cards are accepted. A $20.00 service charge will be applied for all returned checks.

Health Maintenance

Please make sure you make our staff aware of any allergies and/or medical or health issues when your drop your dog off.

If a medical issue arises while your dog is in our care, we will take the following steps:

  1. We will contact the owner / emergency contact
  2. We will use your Veterinary Hospital if local and within business hours.
  3. You will need to provide transportation to your Veterinary Hospital for a non-emergency type situation.
  4. All incurred Veterinary fees are the responsibility of the owner, including a transportation fee of $22 if we need to bring your dog to a Veterinary Hospital.
Please keep in mind we cannot prevent all communicable illnesses. Due to dogs being in close proximity such illness may include, but not limited to: kennel cough, intestinal parasites, and “doggie pink-eye”. It is the owner’s duty to report any signs of change in their dog’s health (sneezing, coughing, diarrhea, discharge from eye, lethargy, etc) immediately, and refrain from brining their dog to Camp. We do our best to watch for any signs of illness and to make the owner aware of what we have witnessed.

Bathing & Grooming Policies

Dog baths are available by appointment only on Monday through Friday. You have the option of dropping your dog off or you can wait, it is up to you! Baths usually take about 1 hour. You can also combine the baths with a lodging stay or with play time in our daycare program.

Free boarding baths can be forfeited if you alter your scheduled pick up time. We will make every effort to alter the bathing schedule if you contact us prior to inform us of the change, but we cannot guarantee we will be able to accommodate the change. You may also be charged for the free bath if you alter your scheduled pick up time and are no longer eligible for the free bath, and we have already bathed your dog.

Also for dogs that are difficult to bath due to aggression and/or fear or are too large to fit in our bathing tub, we will use our discretion to determine if you dog is eligible for a free bath.

Training Policies

If you withdraw from a class there are NO REFUNDS. (However, if there are health reasons that cause you or your dog to withdraw, we will transfer you to another class.) Transfers must be used within two months of the date of withdrawal and the request must be submitted in writing.

To get the most from a training class, you should attend regularly and be on time. Dogs that miss two or more classes may not graduate.

Please be considerate of other dogs and their owners and do not bring
your dog to a training class if they are displaying signs of illness.

In case of inclement weather or an emergency, we may cancel class. We will make every effort to notify you at the phone numbers your provided.

We reserve the right to remove any dog from class. Private sessions are available for dogs that are not suited for group classes.

Rough handling of dogs will not be tolerated.

Lodging Policies

If participating in the Daycare Program, please see additional Daycare Policies. It this stay will be your first visit to Camp Canine, or if it's been awhile since your dog's last visit, we will require you to come for a day of daycare prior to their stay to ensure they are eligible to participate in this program during their stay. .

Here are a few simple requirements that will ensure the best lodging stay:

All of our canine friends should be:
  • in good health*
  • current on all vaccinations
  • flea and tick free AND on a scheduled flea and tick program (no flea collars please).
If fleas are found, your dog will be given a flea bath at your expense
  • People friendly
*Please be considerate of other dogs and their owners and do not bring your dog in for lodging if they are displaying signs of illness.

There is no charge for the day of pick up unless your dog is picked up after noon on M – F or during the afternoon shift on the weekends.

If you are running late or can’t make your checkout date and/or time, you must call to notify us. This is not a guarantee that we will be able to wait for you to arrive.

You will receive a Canine Report Card for your dog’s first stay! This will let you know about your dog’s experience during their stay.

Because we believe it is better not to change your dog’s diet and environment at the same time, we will happily feed your dogs food from home at no extra cost. Please bring only as much food as your dog will eat during their stay. You can bring a small bag of dog food, or place it in a plastic container or in zip lock Baggies for individual servings.

However, if no food is provided we will feed grain free Canidae (a top quality holistic food). If we use our food, you may be subject to a charge based on size of dog and length of stay.

Approved medication will be administered at no additional charge. They must be labeled and only enough for the stay with a couple extras should be brought.

Daycare Policies

Here are a few simple requirements that will ensure optimal fun and safety for all daycare campers:

All of our canine friends should be:
  • in good health*
  • at least 10 weeks of age and weight at least 10lbs
  • spayed or neutered (at 6 months or older)
  • current on all vaccinations
  • flea and tick free AND on a scheduled flea and tick program (no flea collars please)
  • People & dog friendly
  • non-possessive of items or people
  • non-territorial of space

*Please be considerate of other dogs and their owners and do not bring your dog to daycare if they are displaying signs of illness.

Your dog may be dropped off any time after 6:00am and must be picked up prior to 6:30pm. Failure to pick up your dog by 6:30pm can result in your dog being boarded overnight and being charged accordingly.

We will determine if a formal interview is needed based on your dog’s age and previous exposure to dogs.

The first day your dog comes for daycare, you will need to drop your dog off at 7:00am. This is so he/she can be introduced one by one to the rest of the pack. After they meet everyone, they will be with the full group. This helps to ensure the dog is not over-whelmed and has a good first experience!

At the end of your dog's first day at Camp Canine you will receive a Canine Report Card! This will let you know about your dog's experience, their new friends and some additional information.

All dogs are encouraged to display good behavior while at Camp Canine. This is critical in order to maintain a safe play group, for the safety of our staff, and to minimize stress on other dogs. Dogs that chronically bark, or display poor manners (jumping, mouthing staff, bossiness, mounting, and inappropriate play) will be corrected. We may suggest training sessions if a dog continues to be problematic and/or your dog may be asked to leave the daycare program if the problem continues. We reserve the right to remove a dog from the daycare program at any time.

Daycare only breed restrictions: Unfortunately because we are not able to seperate play groups by type or size we do no allow Pit Bull Terriers, American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, or mixes that have the appearance or characteristics of one of these breeds into our daycare program. All dogs small and large can be dangerous if not properly trained and controlled, however research as well as our personal experience has shown that these dogs can have a difficult time in a stimulating environment like a dog daycare. We made this decision to avoid serious injury especially to a small dog. We did allow these breeds for the first 3 years of business but found we continually had issues and injuries caused to dogs from these breeds.
