Additional Information for Your Dog's Play Time with Us

Welcome to Camp Canine! Camp Canine’s staff members are certified and trained to ensure your dog has a great experience at our facility.

Please keep your dog on a leash while entering or leaving our facility. Do not allow your dog to approach other dogs or people. All dogs on the premises may not be dog friendly and behaviors can be influenced by being on leash and with their owners. All collars and leashes are removed once the dog is secure in our premises. If your dog has a flea collar, please remove it before bringing them in for their stay. We do utilize temporary identification collars for dogs that are similar in appearance.

We retain the right to remove a dog from the daycare program or our facility at any time if we feel it is in the best interest of the dog and/or our staff members.

We never let play escalate to an intense level or allow any dog to play with an unwilling partner. Our Camp Supervisors are trained to read a dog’s body language and their behavior. They ensure play remains at a calm, enjoyable and positive level. Dogs play with their mouths and paws so scrapes, scratches and an occasional puncture can happen. This happens more often in dogs with thinner, shorter coats. Despite all the precautions, training, and supervision, there is no way to eliminate the possibility that a scuffle may occur between two dogs. We do not accept over reactive dogs into our daycare program for the safety of dogs and counselors. Once again, this is a risk of socializing dogs and you are responsible for any vet bills that may be incurred.

We encourage good behavior. Dogs that chronically bark, or display poor manners (jumping, mouthing staff, bullying, mounting, and inappropriate play) will be corrected. We may suggest treadmill sessions to reduce a dog’s energy. We will make every effort to work with your dog on these issues, but if there is no progress we will ask to have the dog removed from our daycare program.

We do not automatically separate by size or play style, but we do have the capability to break our play yards into 3 or more groups. We have both indoor and outdoor areas for the dogs to play. During the warmer weather we put out pools for the dogs to play in between 10am & 1pm.

Please ONLY bring lunch if your dog is under one year old and eating 3x's a day at home.  Dogs also have access to water the entire time they are in the daycare areas.

Please make us aware of any recent issues or illnesses your dog may be experiencing. Tell us if there are any lumps, bumps, scrapes or sores on your dog. Inform us if there are any behaviors or conditions your dog may experience while in a new environment.

You can make an appointment to have your dog receive any of our grooming services when your dog comes for a day of daycare.
