Paperwork Requirements & Policies
Prior to your first visit to Camp Canine, the
Pet Profile
should be completed. You can download this document and fill it out now to save time when you check your dog in.
You will need to bring it in with you.
Written proof of the following vaccines is required:
- Rabies
- Distemper
- Bordetella* (Canine Cough)
Bordetella is required a minimum of 7-10 days prior to their visit if they are receiving the vaccine for the very first time.
- Canine Influenza (must include both strains - H3N2 & H3N8)
Your dog must weigh at least 10lb and if over 7 months of age, be spayed or neutered.
All dogs are required to be dog and people friendly. Our staff must be able to touch and handle them. They cannot be possessive of items or territorial of space.
All first time customers (or customers who have not attended daycare at our facility in a while) will be asked to schedule a reservation for their first day. They will be given a drop off time from 7-7:15am on Monday - Friday. We do this to ensure your dog can be introduced one by one to the rest of the pack. After they have a nice gradual introduction and we feel they are ready, we will then introduce them to the rest of the group. This helps to ensure the dog is not overwhelmed and has a good first experience!
You will need to need to bring all the required paperwork. Please be sure you bring proof all of the required vaccines or we will NOT be able to allow your dog to participate in the daycare program.
At the end of your dog's first day at Camp Canine you will receive a formal Report Card! We will let you know about your dog's experience, their new friends and if we have any recommendations for future visits.
We allow drop off of daycare dogs starting at 6am* Monday - Friday and 7am on Saturday. All dogs must be dropped off before noon. Dogs will play all day up until 5:00pm and then they are placed in our nap room for pick up. This is to ensure we can sanitize the daycare area nightly. Any daycare dogs that are not picked up prior to closing (6:30pm M-F and 6:00pm Sat) will be boarded overnight for an additional charge.
*6 am drop off is for existing daycare customers only
Your dog should be flea and tick free. (Please remove your dogs flea collar prior to bringing them into Camp Canine.)
If fleas are found, your dog will be given a flea bath at your expense.
We do offer day stays for dogs that are not social with other dogs and/or may be too old to participate in the daycare program. They will spend the day in one of our cabins and receive a mid-day potty break and one on one time with a staff member.
Please be considerate of other dogs and their owners and do not bring your dog in for daycare if they are displaying ANY signs of illness.
Because we do not separate by size (all dogs play together) we do require previous daycare experience for the following breeds: Pit Bull Terriers, American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, and Staffordshire Bull Terriers to ensure a safe and fun environment for all the dogs. It has also been our experience that these breeds tend to need smaller play groups that our facility is not designed to offer.
